Defending the offensive

What do you do when you find a movie or show or CD or radio show offensive? How do you react to calls to restrict, condemn, or ban that which you personally find offensive? Is it possible to publicly criticize a form of media in a free-speech manner? Can you defend the right of other consumers to make their own decisions about those media without supporting that form of media yourself?

Nip/Tuck, Paradise Hotel, Michael Savage, and Gigli--all of which I find personally offensive--inspired me to start this discussion.
